Winter Reading Challenge

Challenge: 1,000 minutes
When: December 1, 2023–March 2, 2024
Ages: All ages

Track: Online | Mobile App | Printable Reading Log

We’re challenging everyone to read as many minutes as there are miles in the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race from Anchorage to Nome. That means 1,000 minutes of reading! Our Winter Reading Challenge is open to readers of all ages and abilities. Participants can read or listen to books from any source, including the library’s collections. Attendance at library storytimes and book discussions counts toward the challenge.

Gifts & Prizes

When you complete the 1,000-minute challenge, you will receive a free gift and a grand prize drawing entry. All reading must be recorded in Beanstack or submitted to the library on a paper reading log by March 2, 2024 to be eligible. Gifts and prizes must be picked up by March 31, 2024.
