Experience an entertaining and hilarious evening with The New York Times best-selling science author, Mary Roach, who will discuss her frank approach to science, the importance of humor and explore the weird, wonderful world in which we live.
Annalee Newitz will join Mary Roach in conversation. Newitz has a Ph.D. in English and American Studies from UC Berkeley and is one half of the hilarious podcast, Our Opinions Are Correct.
To participate via Zoom, all you need is a device (desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone) with a camera, microphone and an internet connection. Or, if you don't have a device, you can call into the event with your phone.
You will receive an email with the Zoom link prior to the event. A recording will be available for 30 days after the event and will be emailed to registered participants.

The Warrenville Public Library District was established in 1979 to provide library services to the residents of Warrenville and nearby unincorporated areas. The District operates out of a single facility located at 28W751 Stafford Place, Warrenville, IL.
Through warrenville.com, 24/7 services include digital content availability, database use, event registration and the ability to place books and other items on hold through the catalog.
In 2020, WPLD joined the SWAN Library Services consortium, making over 8,000,000 items available to our members.
WPLD members and guests have access to many amenities: Study and Meeting Rooms, Quiet Room with fireplace, casual seating areas, Discovery Room for children, Teen Lounge, cold beverage vending café, free wifi and computers.
The library is located in the heart of Warrenville’s civic center near the intersection of Batavia and Butterfield Roads. Additional parking and a second entrance are available off of Mount St. and Manning Avenue.
