Tech Club

The Library is home to a host of cool devices and other tech toys that we can't wait to share with you. Each month, Tech Club will test out some of these as we explore a different theme. In January, we will kick the year off with our Ode to Code. February will be all about tinkering and invention and our March program will be extra-special, featuring a Greatest Hits lineup from our previous sessions. Drop in for one session or join us for all three. Snap Circuits

Lego fans will love Snap Circuits, a colorful building set that lets kids safely and easily experiment with electricity. From building simple machines like an electric light to more complex projects like a motion detector or an AM radio, the Snap Circuits program will strengthen basic physics concepts for your young engineer in a creative, hands-on environment. Reading & School

Children ages two to five, along with an adult caregiver, are invited to join a naturalist from the Lincoln Marsh to listen to a nature-themed story and participate in a related craft and/or activity. Registration is required. Click here to register.


Crafty Kids

Paws for Tales
Saturdays, 10 – 11:30 a.m., Grades K – 2

​Young readers build their confidence by reading aloud to a certified dog in a non-judgmental, supportive environment. Call 630/393-1171 x100 to sign up for a 15-minute session with a certified dog and volunteer team from the Naperville Area Humane Society. Bring your own books or choose from a wide variety of picture books and easy readers all about pets. Young readers will take home a host of goodies, including stickers, coloring pages and a new book that is theirs to keep!


Book Bunch
Thursdays, 4:30 - 5 p.m., Ages 6 – 8

Children ages 18-36 months enjoy singing, dancing, stories, finger plays and playtime.

Ice King Hunt
December 1-30, Ages 5 – 11
Help Finn and Jake stop the Ice King (and his penguin army) from ruining the holidays. Try to find the Ice King, Gunter and other penguins here in the Library. Pick up an entry form at the Information Desk. Turn in your completed form to win a small prize.


Rockin’ New Year’s Toddler Bash

The Mad Hatter's Tea Party

"Yes, that's it," said the Hatter with a sigh, "it's always tea-time."
Curiouser and curiouser Alice in Wonderland turns 150 this year! Daughters and their mothers (or grandmas, or aunts, or big sisters) are cordially invited to join us to celebrate this timeless favorite with afternoon tea, cookies, flamingo croquet, riddles and crafts. Cocoa Day
