National Library Week
April 13 - 19, 2008

“Join the Circle of Knowledge @ your library” during National Library Week, April 13 – 19 at the Warrenville Public Library. Library visitors are invited to enjoy complimentary candy and a small gift in celebration of the contributions of libraries and librarians to the community. Enjoy a special library program "Cat Catalani - Gershwin to Now! " or a lively storytime.

 

Library Card Sign-Up Month
September 2007

Library cards grant access to books, DVDs, CDs, magazines, newspapers, computers and programs.

 

Community members who sign up for a library card at the Warrenville Public Library in September will receive a small gift to celebrate national Library Card Sign-Up Month. Identification and proof of residency are required at the time a library card is issued. New library cards are registered at the Circulation desk.

 

All patrons are encouraged to stop by the library to receive a bookmark and booklists.

 

 
 
Banned Books Week – Sept. 29– Oct. 6, 2007

Celebrate your freedom to read by reading a banned book during Banned Book Week. Banned Books Week is an annual reminder that, while every book is not intended for every reader, each individual has the right to choose the materials they read, listen to or view. Books that have been banned or threatened will be on display during Banned Books Week.

 

Children's Book Week
November 12 - 18, 2007

Through Children's Book Week, the Children's Book Council encourages young people and their caregivers to discover the complexity of the world beyond their own experience through books.
